BORACAY: The Great Beach Love

This. My great love. BORACAY.

About a year ago, I worked for TNS Philippines but left after two months. With that short period of time I made some good friends and even planned a trip with them.So I booked a March flight to Boracay to spend some time with them, but guess what, we never met in Boracay in that 5 days. Nevertheless, I still got to enjoy the trip with my sister and her island friends around. Giselle (my sister) used to work for Shangri-La Boracay for almost 2 years. She met a lot of locals and even met her current love there. I decided to tag along my cousin Joy, who just arrived from Egypt last November. Here are some photos from the March trip.

Sabby happy as always. She just love the outdoors! (Like me, definitely.)

Baby V and the sister act!

Happy hour agad agad! Bawal magsayang ng oras! Happy hour means Buy1 Take1 on cocktail drinks or 50% off which is pretty much the same thing. Rum coke please :)

 THE PERFECT BORACAY SUNSET

Of course, hindi pwede na hindi mag night out. Walang exempted sa gimik. Minsan lang to. Like for my hubby na dead ang social life at sa cousin ko na bihira din lumabas. Beach night out is something most tourists look forward to in this island. Some popular bars are Epic in D'Mall  and the Wave bar in Boracay Regency, which recently opened, for the more sosyal or high end crowd. Some other bars are Summer Place, Guilly's, Cocomangas, Juice Bar, Club Paraw.

The three of us. Waiting sa mga ganap sa Juice bar.

Julius, Kris, Giselle and Joy.

Love team lang ang peg namin. Couple shot in Juice Bar.

Cousin-ly love! Rare night out with Joy!

Shang represent: Giselle (resigned na yan), Neech (hygiene something manager) and Rye (auditor). Ang mga mayayamang dilag!

We had lunch the next day at Gerry's Grill located in Station 2. We wanted something safe or something we know can full our very hungry angry tummies.

The famous Jonah's milkshake for the very hot afternoon. Sabby likes the Avocado milkshake. All time favorites are: Vanilla Milkshake, Avocado Milkshake and Choco Banana Milkshake.

Playtime for Sabby! Look at how she enjoys the sand and water. A mermaid indeed. As you can see, there were algae during this season. Kris was trying to explain to me that it was because of the weather, like the sun being so freaking hot, that these algae appears. Basta something like that. I think it's true because whenever we go here during the rainy season, sobrang linis naman the water.

At bilang maarte kame, we had buffet breakfast at Vintana in Shangri-La Boracay. Thanks to our lovely friends Neech and Rye! Fabulous breakfast complete with the dessert bar. Love it!

We also tried the Zorb for free! Yey for my very friendly sister! She knows a few people in Boracay that owns fun businesses. I thought that I was just gonna stay put inside because of the water, but I got so freaked out because I rolled like a hamster inside that giant ball. I was even brave enough to take the more zigzag-y track rather than the straight one. Mind you, we had unlimited passes to this Zorb but once is enough for me. Something that I'll try but will never do again.

More photos while playing sand with my Sabby.

Sabby ended up flat face in the sand and she didn't mind at all! She even eats sand! Kalurkey ka anak.

Overall, this Boracay trip was spent well with family. My sister and I got to bond really well and cousin also enjoyed her trip with us. Looking forward to many more Boracay trips with my sister!

Fabulously,
Daniemae
